Arrow Street Arts Launch Festival

ABOUT THE SHOW

Liars and Believers, in partnership with Arrow Street Arts, invites companies, groups, and individual performing artists to submit works for presentation during the Arrow Street Arts Launch Festival of ASA’s venue at 2 Arrow Street in Cambridge. This festival takes place March 23 to March 31, 2024.

This interdisciplinary festival celebrates the launch of Harvard Square’s newest performing arts and event space and showcases the vibrant arts of Greater Boston. Submissions from all performing arts are encouraged, including theater (drama, comedy, movement, circus, experimental, puppet/marionette, magic, and more) dance (modern, contemporary, jazz, traditional, experimental, and more) and music (rock, jazz, Americana, classical, blues, hip-hop, folk, and more).

Each submission will be reviewed by an artistic panel of local artists, presenters, and cultural leaders. The festival seeks an eclectic group of performers and performances to reflect the diversity of the Boston arts community.

Festival submissions should require relatively simple tech and a short load-in/strike time (no more than 2 hours total). There are two spaces available: the 4,500 SF black box theater and the more intimate 1,100 SF studio space. Both will have full tech support and can be programmed concurrently.

We also invite applications for workshops, public classes, readings, or open rehearsals during the week.

All performers will be paid, with fees dependent on, and reflective of, the scope of the work.
